TRAINING

 

NGS offers on-site training courses at customer locations. These courses are designed for new HRM2001 users to become familiar with the system and jumpstart their implementation

 

The content of our standard training courses is described below. In addition to these classes, we can tailor training courses to your individual requirements. System Administration

This session examines in detail the necessary processes to set up company level tables. One of the most important elements is relating the users’ existing branches, departments, etc. to HRM2001’s structure. The instructor will also introduce the Company Configuration, User/Security Setup and System Auditor functions.

 

Attendees need some technical knowledge of the users’ system and any interfaces necessary to other systems. They should have the ability to interpret and implement company policy and procedures as they apply to payroll and/or human resources. The attendee should also have decision-making authority regarding HRM2001 Security.

 

 

Employee Master and Base Operations

This course reviews employee master setup, including personal data, pay setup and pay changes, benefit selection and benefit changes, job assignment and classification, and employee termination. It will also cover the category records that may be attached to a person, including dependents, qualifications, benefits, allowances, etc. This course also reviews the Attendance module that handles leave and all absence from work issues.  It includes an introduction to the Intelligence Centre and Rules Management, the HRM2001 Report Writer and Query tools and Backup and Restore procedures.

 

Individuals attending this class include (please note the necessary, recommended, and helpful indicators):

 

1)     All Payroll and Human Resources staff using the HRM2001 system on a day-to-day basis (necessary)

 

2) System Administrators responsible for technical support of the HRM2001 system (helpful)

 

3) Individuals with fiscal responsibility for payroll, compensation, and benefits (recommended)

 

 

Optional HR Modules 

Training is available for specific, non-core HR modules, including Document Manager, Performance Appraisal, Training, Manpower Planning, Succession Planning, Application/Recruitment and Time and Attendance.

 

Individuals attending this training include (please note the necessary, recommended and helpful indicators):

 

1) All Human Resources staff using the HRM2001 system on a day-to-day basis. (necessary)

 

2) System Administrators responsible for technical support of the HRM2001 system (helpful)

 

2) Individuals with the responsibility/need to use various modules, such as department managers (training, performance appraisal, succession planning). (recommended)

 

Payroll Operations 

Note: As an introductory component of this class, attendees are taken through aspects of the Employee Master and Base Operations course.

 

This class defines the elements that constitute a payroll, and cover procedures including payroll setup and configuration, payroll tax setup, transaction entry, gross-to-net computations, cheque printing, bank transfer, electronic bank transfer, pay period reports, pay history, manual checks and voids. Backup & Restore procedures, End of period processing, and calendar year-end procedures will be reviewed. Administration of taxes will also be covered. Training will also include General Ledger Interface, Import-Export and other functions.

 

Individuals who attend this class include (note necessary and helpful indicators):

 

1) Persons with fiscal responsibility for payroll, payroll taxes, compensation and benefits (necessary)

 

2) Persons who will be performing the payroll operation and backup support staff (necessary)

 

3) System Administrators responsible for technical support of the HRM2001 system (helpful)

 

Intermediate Report Writer

This course focuses on creating custom reports. It will cover some of the more complex elements of the report writer, including data veins, tables and codes, advanced selection,  importing/exporting and customized reports. Individuals attending this class should be end users using HRM2001.
